Halv — the end of who owes who.
Halv is a bill-splitting app for trips, flats and dinners. Add what was spent, scan the receipt if there is one, and Halv keeps one honest balance with every friend across every group. When it's time to settle, it names who pays whom in as few transfers as possible, and paying back takes one tap. Halv never holds or moves money.

What's different
Paying back is one tap. Everyone saves how they like to be paid, such as Revolut or a bank account. When you owe a friend, their methods show as chips on the settle screen. Tap Revolut and it opens with the exact amount and currency already filled in. Tap IBAN and the details are copied for your banking app. Halv removes the “what's your account number again?” message that delays every repayment.
Scan the receipt, hand out the plates. Point the camera at a receipt and Halv reads every line. Each person taps what they had. A six-person restaurant bill is split in under a minute, down to the cent.
Real multi-currency, no invented rates. A group keeps a separate ledger per currency. A dollar expense in a euro trip stays in dollars. Nothing is converted with a made-up exchange rate, and nobody is asked to settle a number that doesn't exist.
Fewer transfers. With one switch, Halv simplifies who pays whom across a group, so a five-person trip settles in two or three transfers instead of ten, and shows each person why their transfer changed.
Works offline, works without the app. Halv is local-first: it opens instantly, works with no signal, and syncs when the connection returns. You can split with someone who doesn't have Halv. They get a link, see what they owe on the web, and claim their share if they install it.
The story
Splitting costs has quietly become a subscription business. The leading app now charges for basics like adding more than a few expenses a day. Halv started as a side project to fix that for one group of friends who travel together and pay each other in three currencies. It grew into a full app when the receipt scanner turned out to be the thing everyone showed to everyone else.
Halv is built natively in SwiftUI and transpiled to native Android from the same Swift source, so both platforms ship the same features on the same day with no web views. The design is editorial and type-led: big honest numbers, a colour identity per group, and only one coloured element in the whole app, the small tag that says whether money is coming to you or going out.

Icon and brand
The app icon is available at 1024 × 1024 as a PNG with the iOS rounded tile on a transparent background. Please don't add a second mask, a shadow or recolour it.
Halv's only two colours carry meaning: green #1fb469 is money owed to you, coral #ff5a4d is money you owe. Everything else is ink on white. The name is written “Halv”, capital H, never all caps.
